Yes, 10 years and counting! Our 2020 Vine2Wine is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 7-10pm at the Tualatin Library. New for our 10th year….a biergarten featuring locally crafted brews (hops grown on a vine, right?).
Here’s our wineries; We’re almost done selecting 10 wineries that represent all that Oregon has to offer. From our Willamette Valley, Southern Oregon and Columbia AVA’s. (check back often as we build our list).
Catman Cellars: “You can describe our Oregon wines as micro-batch, boutique, or artisanal as you prefer. But we think you’ll mostly want to describe them as superb”
Denison Cellars: “Having made acclaimed wines for others, in 2009 I decided it was time to strike out on my own. My focus is on identifying outstanding, small, sustainably-farmed vineyards that allow me to showcase their unique attributes in the wines that I create from them”
Lujon Wine Cellars: “Our goal is to make exceptional wines that are affordable for every day enjoyment. We are passionate about our wines and our customers’ satisfaction.”
Sineann: “We are a small producer of highly intense wine based in Oregon’s storied Willamette Valley wine country. Our fruit comes from the best vineyards in multiple growing regions. We spare no expense or effort in the pursuit of great wine.”
Chemistry Wine: “Wine brings people together. There is a connection that ignites the moment a bottle of wine is placed on a table. It enhances the chemistry of our lives, making each moment extraordinary. Launched in 2018, Chemistry is the first collaborative project between Stoller Family Estate and Chehalem Winery.”
Résonance: An exciting new player in Oregon, Résonance is Maison Louis Jadot’s first wine project outside of Burgundy, France. “With Résonance Vineyard, we realized Willamette Valley is to the New World what Burgundy is to the Old World. There is a feeling, a spirit, an energy—a ‘somewhereness’ that tells us this place can produce expressive single-vineyard Pinot Noir wines with an Identity, a personality.”
Olea Vineyards: “We make Estate clone designate Pinot Noir, right here in Sherwood Oregon Off Parrett Mt Road”
Willamette Valley Vineyards: “Founded in 1983 by Oregon native Jim Bernau with the dream of creating world-class Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley Vineyards has grown from a bold idea into one of the region’s leading wineries, earning the title “One of America’s Great Pinot Noir Producers” from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
Carlton Cellars: “Winemaker Dave is a hands-on kind of guy who brings a former engineer’s attention to detail to bear on everything he does, from vinification to pruning methodologies. His direct personal involvement in every aspect of Carlton Cellars is clear when you visit for a tasting.”
Pinot Vista Vineyards: “In McMinnville, Oregon’s Historic District,
visit Pinot Vista Vineyard’s Wine Tasting Lounge for a Unique Tasting Experience.”
This years’ Vine2Wine will feature foods from Tualatin area business. Here’s your chance to sample from the best Tualatin has to offer, whether it’s fine dining, pub or take-home food, you’ll experience it all in one grand night.
Avanti Restaurant & Bar: “On August 21, 2018, a lifelong dream of chef/owner Mark Carruth and his soulmate Jeanne Schneider became a reality at the corner of Nyberg and Martinazzi in Tualatin, Oregon. After spending most of their lives working in corporate restaurants, this talented and personable couple launched a small, unique, upscale, family restaurant and bar. Avanti (come in!) now offers an exceptional culinary experience not previously available in this section of the Portland metropolitan area.”
Mai Asia Restaurant: “We specialize in fresh and traditional Vietnamese dishes. The philosophy behind great Vietnamese cooking is simple: the perfect balance between flavor, freshness and nutrition. There’s a lot of fresh veggies, herbs and light rice noodles incorporated in the majority of the dishes on our menu. All sauces and marinades are homemade and everything is cooked in house by Yen, the owner and chef with 18 years of experience.”
Locally crafted beer is now part of Vine2Wine. Celebrating Oregon’s diversity of beer, this year, local breweries are joining our fundraiser to support reading programs in our community.
Vanguard Brewing: “Our taproom opened September 18, 2015. A little over a month later we began brewing on our custom built 15 barrel system. By December we began serving our first two beers brewed onsite: Box Shaker Blonde and Baseline Stout. We are proud to be an independent, self distributed craft brewery distributing to local area taprooms, bars, and restaurants and have sold beer to over 200 different locations throughout the Portland metro area.”
Stickman Brewing: “Our Tualatin Beer Hall features family style seating in a large open production brewery setting, offering wood-fired pizzas from an oven imported from Italy which cooks a pizza at a blistering 750- 900 degrees. We also feature 28 taps with a wide range of styles to make every beer lover happy.”
G-Man Brewery: “With the success of a long running sports bar in Tualatin, Oregon a brewery just seemed to be the next natural step for Gary Haberman. He wanted a place for his friends and community to gather and drink quality craft beer so he brought on Tony Balzola, a brew master with over 17 years of experience with roots in Oregon and G-Man Brewery was born.”
Silent auction? We’ve got that covered with Wine baskets, garden sprayer equipment from Jacto, knives from Kai and Zero Tolerance, a private wine tasting for 10 from Catman Cellars, a “wall of wine” and much more!
See you then!
