2019

Yes, 9 years and counting! Our 2019 Vine2Wine is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 7-10pm at the Tualatin Library.

Here’s our wineries; (check back often as we build our list)

Catman Cellars:  “You can describe our Oregon wines as micro-batch, boutique, or artisanal as you prefer. But we think you’ll mostly want to describe them as superb”

Carlton Cellars: “Our Estate Vineyard was planted on the Savannah Ridge in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA in 2003. In Pinot Noir, our Wellsdale soils are associated with generous black fruit — black cherry, blackberry, plum, cassis.”

Denison Cellars: “Having made acclaimed wines for others, in 2009 I decided it was time to strike out on my own. My focus is on identifying outstanding, small, sustainably-farmed vineyards that allow me to showcase their unique attributes in the wines that I create from them”

Sineann:  “We are a small producer of highly intense wine based in Oregon’s storied Willamette Valley wine country. Our fruit comes from the best vineyards in multiple growing regions. We spare no expense or effort in the pursuit of great wine.”

JL Kiff Vineyard: “Joel and Laurie (the ‘J’ and the ‘L’) farm and produce Pinot Noir (and more) on a hill just outside McMinnville, Oregon. When you come here, you will not find fancy decor, but the wine is intriguing and you will be served by the people who own and operate the place.”

Holloran Vineyard Wines: “As a grower and wine producer since 1999 in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, our handcrafted wines begin in the vineyards we own and farm. We emphasize low yields and careful hands-on management of the vines to produce wines that express the unique characteristics of our vineyard sites, including our older vines planted in the early 1970s”.

Dauntless Wine Co:Dauntless Wine Cø. was founded by three Iraq war combat veterans – two Marines and one Corpsman. After years of service, the three founders felt that more could be done for the veteran community. Soldiering and farming have been intertwined for millennia because both require hard work and attention to detail; while tending the land is perhaps one of the oldest methods of post-war therapy. Wine just happens to be the reward for dedicating ourselves to one of Earth’s greatest gifts – the grape.”

Willamette Valley Vineyards: “Founded in 1983 by Oregon native Jim Bernau with the dream of creating world-class Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley Vineyards has grown from a bold idea into one of the region’s leading wineries, earning the title “One of America’s Great Pinot Noir Producers” from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

This years’ Vine2Wine will feature foods from Tualatin area business. Here’s your chance to sample from the best Tualatin has to offer, whether it’s fine dining, pub or take-home food, you’ll experience it all in one grand night.

G-Man Sports Bar: “A Tualatin staple for over 20 years, newly renovated G-Man offers a wide range of perfectly prepared foods and in-house brewery.  Perfect for a casual “date night” or, meeting with friends”

New Seasons Deli: “Our deli isn’t your average deli. We’re committed to sourcing quality, local ingredients like cage-free eggs, organic produce, non-GMO meats and sustainable seafood. We collaborate with our partners to bring you exclusive items and chef-inspired recipes that can’t be found anywhere else!”

Izumi Japanese Steakhouse: “Izumi is a family-owned Japanese steakhouse that serves hibachi style meals. Our chefs take pride in creating and presenting Japanese food cooked on a hot table right in front of you, your family and friends. Our salad dressing, house dipping sauce, ginger sauce, mustard sauce, and teriyaki sauce are made with fresh ingredients in the house every week.”

Avanti Restaurant & Bar: “On August 21, 2018, a lifelong dream of chef/owner Mark Carruth and his soulmate Jeanne Schneider became a reality at the corner of Nyberg and Martinazzi in Tualatin, Oregon. After spending most of their lives working in corporate restaurants, this talented and personable couple launched a small, unique, upscale, family restaurant and bar. Avanti (come in!) now offers an exceptional culinary experience not previously available in this section of the Portland metropolitan area.”

Hayden’s Lakefront Grill: “Hayden’s seeks to consistently provide high-quality food and friendly, handpicked staff members who are attentive to your needs. A favorite among locals and visitors alike, we pride ourselves on our fresh, unique cuisine. Whenever possible, we choose only fresh ingredients supplied by local vendors.”

Lugano Cafe & Catering: Lugano Cafe & Catering is a cornerstone in the Tigard community and has been recognized for its outstanding American cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. Our American restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients.
