California Pizza Kitchen Fundraiser - 8/11 and 8/25

We're having a fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen.  Just bring in this flyer on 8/11 or 8/25 to the Bridgeport Village location and present it to your server when ordering.  The foundation will receive 20% of your check as a donation.

Are You A Good Talker…A Scrapbooker?

The Foundation is seeking someone familiar with public relations, dealing with newspapers and other media to get our message out to Tualatin. The chairman of this committee does not need to be a Board member but someone who can write articles and communicate with those who have the power to spread our message.

Please email us at info@tualatinlibraryfoundation if you would like to volunteer.

We are also looking for someone to keep our archives for us. We have the material but not the skills needed to make scrapbooks and posters. Not a board position, but a very important responsibility as knowing our history will be important for the future. Email us if you would like to help or go to Contact Us.

Foundation Wins $2000 Grant

The Foundation learned in June that it has been awarded a $2000 grant from the Cultural Coalition of Washington County through the Oregon Cultural Trust. The money will be used to continue to produce videos of people and events of historical value in Tualatin.

The first DVD was shown at our Donor Recognition Reception in June. It tells the story of the historic Sweek House as told by its amazing resident, Althea Pratt-
Broome. A second DVD allows the viewer to walk through the entire restored home.

This entire project is a collaborative effort with the Tualatin Historical Society. We want to recognize the work Larry McClure put into the interview, and to Jon Hartman for the filming and editing.

Time to renew your Select A Shelf label

Most donors to the Select a Shelf program entered it in August, so it is time to think about renewing.
If you haven't purchased a shelf label, this is a perfect time to start! It is a great way to show the community about your commitment to the library.Click here to download the application form.
